This small retro-style corner bar gets packed at night with the young, professional and trendy demographic leaking over from the Meatpacking District. Could get a little overcrowded, but I don't mind so much with a good looking crowd like this one. Drinks are reasonably priced and the the atmosphere is always lively.

Amazing Bar, that sadly over the years have taken a turn for something other then waht it was meant to be. It has decent priced drinks, but the food is always great. The bartenders vary.

Yes it is a frat boy atmosphere INSIDE. But what's going on OUTSIDE is also worthwhile noticing, and it's not pleasing. There are people urinating, defecating, masturbating and vomiting all over the side walk. Outraged residents above the establishment habitually throw water on the crowds, which is greeted by outbursts of anger. Once I was there, a black woman broke into the door of the residential building. Occasionally the police drives by and the drunken hordes disburse only to re-emerge a few minutes later. Recently notes by neighboring residents have appeared petitioning the SLA to revoke the liquor license of Automatic Slims. If you look for class and good music go somewhere else.
