White Star Bar

Great little spot and not too crowded on a weeknight. I stop in here whenever I'm looking for a quieter spot to watch a sporting event and am never disappointed. The staff is extremely personable and ready to give their recommendations on food and drink. Food is always tasty! If you're looking for a bar in this little corner of Downtown JC theres no reason to go anywhere else

Great bar food and drinks, easy laid back atmosphere

One of my favorite places to go in JC. Warm lighting at night. Quiet neighborhood surrounding area. Good beer list and great food.

We went there for lunch. The waitress was huddled in the corner with the bartender for most of the time we were there. She barely checked on is and when we asked her for stuff she would only take one request before she ran off ignoring everyone else's requests. We waited 15 minutes before she checked in on us so that we could order more drinks. We tried to wave but they didn't even notice. A table of 8 were about to walk in and before they walked in she kept repeating no, no, no. The place wasn't even packed. Wish I could tell you her name but she didn't have a name tag on nor did she tell us her name. Service was terrible. The food was good tho.

Burger was very good but asked for medium rare and it came medium. Can't beat that burger with fries for $11! What a steal! Also great beer selection.
