Tracking says "Item left in/at the mailbox," but IT WAS NOT THERE. They mis-scan boxes very often and are not reliable.
They are not reliable and rude. When I schedule redeliver y in advance, items are never delivered on the scheduled day even I call them to confirm. One day, I had go go pick up a package while I was injured. I rang a bell twice because no one was at a window. A couple of workers there said if I annoy then, they will make things difficult for me.They made me wait more just for "teach me a lesson." I thought they are Federal workers. Are they allowed to threaten or retaliate their customers? They don't deserve a star. Horrible services ever!

I called at 2:30 pm after being told my package wasn't found at the post office... yet the tracking number says it's at the post office. They gave me this number. I called at 2:30, it's now 5:02pm and I am STILL on hold. And their office hours are only until 5:00. GREAT SERVICE.

This is the WORST post office I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Every month I have to call them to find out why my packages haven't been (re)delivered but this latest experience by far has been the most ridiculous.

So I check my mail and I see the little pink slip saying that they missed me. Fair enough. I filled it out as soon as I found it, saying to redeliver it on Monday (I found the slip on a Weds.) because I know how they can be when you request redelivery in the same week. Now, I forgot that Monday was a holiday, so again fair enough that it wasn't redelivered that day. However, they didn't even take the slip. They left it sitting there from Thurs-Tues. Actually they kept putting it back in my mailbox whenever I put it on the outside of it so they'd see it. Anyway, I called them and they said they'd deliver it the next day. Did they? Nope.

I call back, they said that it was delivered at the mailbox. I knew that was bogus because the package I was expecting is much larger than the mailbox so it would have been at my door but I went to check anyway. I try to call and tell them that it wasn't there (after being told that I can call them back if it wasn't there) and lo' and behold no one answers the phone. It literally took me 2 mins to check, so I don't know where they could've went that fast.

Later I checked the tracking number online to see if it could've been delivered to the wrong door and saw that it hadn't been delivered at all. Now, why is it that I could look up on the post office website and see that my package hadn't been delivered, but they can't? EVEN AFTER TALKING TO THE CARRIER HERSELF THEY STILL MANAGED TO MESS THAT UP!

I call back the next day, go over the whole story, they say that it will be delivered on Friday. Friday comes, still no package. Now my dilemma, do I call them AGAIN or do I just haul my cookies down there and get my package my damn self? I really don't see why I should have to go get my mail when it's THEIR JOB to deliver it. At this point it's really not even about the package but the principle of the thing.

My words of advice, avoid dealing with this post office as much as you can. If you can have things delivered anywhere else have it delivered there. At least you're sure to have it. Someone really needs to shut this place down or replace every single person working there because it is not right that so many people have to put up with this level of incompetence, especially since because it's the post office, so many of us have no other recourse.

UPDATE: To update on my last review, I did finally get my package...after waiting around all day, they finally came at 7 o'clock while I was in the damn shower! I literally had to run to the door in a towel just to get my package because I did NOT want to have to deal with them again.

FURTHER UPDATE: I also just learned that apparently it's new protocol that the little pink slip they leave is no longer a valid method of getting redelivery for your mail. Why this wasn't made public knowledge, I don't know, but that is a fail for the entire organization, not just this branch. They'll tell you to request redelivery online. Which, I should mention doesn't mean squat to this post office. I told them that every time I schedule redelivery online my stuff never gets redelivered, they said that it would, so I tried it out. Did my stuff get redelivered? Nope!

Today they left a notice for a different package saying that I wasn't here. That, however, is a boldface lie! True, I was out earlier, but when I came home I saw the mail truck sitting outside my building BEFORE they attempted to deliver the mail! I know this because the time scan from the tracking info was for a time when I was definitely home.

It's the holiday season and I'm expecting a bunch of stuff, but I also understand that it's a busy time for them (I used to work for a large delivery company, so I get it) but this is ridiculous! Don't offer redelivery services if you don't/won't actually redeliver mail.

If i could id leave 0 i would. This is where packages come to die. The ultimate mail limbo. The kind of carrier that leaves no notices and if they do its with no tracking or they leave it with your neighbor they dont say who. This place is the cousin office of the worst one in the country which is in bk. Good job fort george at least u deliver bad service =D
