This review is for the Holland Tunnel Home Depot in Jersey City--whom we used to purchase wall-to-wall carpeting that we just had installed several weeks ago, and looks fantastic!
I want to specifically point out one employee in particular, Corey, who was not only incredibly helpful and informative in assisting us in choosing the actual carpet, but also went above and beyond his duty to help us when the Jersey City Rt 440 store screwed up our order and then promised us a discount for the inconvenience, only to pass the blame, and completely deny they had made any such promise when they realized we had placed the official order online due to some misguided advice by customer service.
When we went to the Holland Tunnel store to purchase some other items for our home because we were over in that area one day, we stopped upstairs at the Flooring Department to see if there was anything anyone could do to help us with the issues we were dealing with and getting no results on. Instead of just simply shrugging off our story and saying there was nothing he could do like one of the managers at the Route 440 store did, Corey patiently sat with us, while writing down everything that had happened, exactly what was said, and then told us not to worry and that it would be taken care of.
A few weeks later, we had the correct carpet, installed on the exact day we wanted it for before our new furniture arrived, as well as a 10% refund on our credit card statement, all thanks to Corey and the terrific flooring staff at the Holland Tunnel Home Depot.
Thank you guys so much for everything you did to help. You made an incredibly aggravating situation much less of a hassle, and in turn have earned two new customers. We will solely be shopping at this Home Depot from now on, and will be telling all our friends moving to the Hoboken/Jersey City area to do the same.
