The Grand Pavilion For Rehabilitation And Nursing At Rockville Centre

I had a really good experience at this rehab. My 85 year-old father fractured his vertebrae in August, went to another rehab nearby which was HORRIBLE (Lynbrook) and we eventually chose this place. The reviews we saw weren't that great, but this was the only place available at the time that would take him. Anytime I called, I received a nurse who was able to provide an update on his health right away. The doctors returned calls. I wasn't placed on hold or transferred several times. This may sound basic, but it wasn't at Lynbrook Rehab. The Grand Pavilion is newly renovated and has a huge rehab center. My dad progressed so quickly and by the time he was discharged, he was walking 10x better than when he entered. The only downside was the food. However, if my dad has to ever go back to a rehab, this will be our first choice.

My experience with this facility was not a good one at all. My mother was released from the hospital on November 11 from having a stroke. My mom was not even in the facility for just five hours just as my sister and I was walking through the door my mother had fell from the wheel chair and hit the tile floor and got a big gash on her fore head and was bleeding. She had to be sent back to the hospital. As this facility does not keep a very good watch on their residents. I would not recommend this place at all. This set my mother back from recovery.
