Great local bar! Great craft beer, super friendly people. Live music is always very good and you won't find a better place to watch a game in the area.

Best dive bar in monmouth county. Best selection of beers in the area. Not for children.

Hands down one of my favorite shore bars, mainly as it escapes the sleazy half-assedness that makes many other bars around the area unbearable.

Very comfortable and down-to-earth setting, friendly bar-staff, usually a good selection on tap that includes a number of good craft beers, and a food menu that can stand pretty well on it's own.

I had bought a voucher for the Chubby Pickle off Living Social. I was bringing a group of 9 adults and a toddler(highchair) none of us had ever been there, we were all very excited and hungry. I had called in advance to see if we needed reservations and to tell them how many people and we needed a highchair for the baby. We were traveling an hour north to get there so I gave them a roundabout time of 5:30/6 pm. First off we had traveled in 3 cars, there was no parking lot so we all had to find places to park on the street, okay no biggie. So, we walked inside to find there are maybe 4 tables which are all packed with people in their "restaurant" part & the bar is lined with people. Were all gathered in front of the door waiting for someone to greet us and finally I guess a waiter walked over and I had told him I called earlier and we were here and he goes "oh, you said you'd be here by 6". I looked over at the huge digital clock on the wall it says 6:08 in my head I'm like are you freaking serious! I kinda gave him that look and he went and spoke with an older gentlemen, came back to our group and said well that table just finished you could wait for that table about 15/20 min. I was furious at this point because there was no guarantee that "this table" of people are going to get up and leave and my whole group is literally standing in front of the door, I was so embarrassed because this was my idea. Plus I have my 14 month old who is hungry and cant hangout at the bar and wait for 20 minutes. So we said forget it and walked across the street to this place called Bahrs Landing, who were very understanding and took our large group with no problems. We happily spent over $500 at this restaurant and would definitely go back.

The pictures on here are very deceiving, I would say a dive. I don't even care if other people say the food is good, I do not recommend purely based on service! Its also no place for children. I was so embarrassed by the whole situation plus I wasted my money on the voucher I bought from Living Social because I'll never go back.

The food was spectacular. We had mac n cheese, the 50/50, fried pickles and fish tacos. The 50/50 is 4 ounces of ground sirloin and 4 ounces of ground bacon. It tastes even better than it sounds. The service was fantastic. Apparently, the one server is also the bartender, but she excels at both. As for the motif, it's a sports bar, so the decor is pretty much TVs everywhere.
