The Capital Grille

I giving it a 2 because I used to love the Capital Grille. In 2015, I'd say I dined there 20-25 times. Around June, they must have changed cooks or something because I started to notice that my steak was cooked incorrectly a lot. First time, a women took it off the bill. The 2nd time, she gave me her card. If it is a friend and I, I don't mind but the second time, it was w/ a client. Last straw was the week of XMas.In early January, I called and booked 3 fridays in a row for various Xmas parties, 1 for10, the 2nd for 16 and the 3rd for 8. In the 2nd party, again, 3 steaks had to be sent back because they weren't cook correctly) Now, anyone familiar w/ the Grille, someone calls you to confirm. For my 3rd party, they lost my reservation. Now this was a get together of old friends, one flew in from San Diego. I had spent over 4K total there in the last 2 weeks. They lost my reservation, and kept telling us to have a drink and they try to find us a table (which was infuriating because we had a reservation and even talked to one of their girls that day). After 30 minutes, we knew they were just trying to get us to run up a bar bill and weren't going to seat us. That was the final straw. Between the food always being cooked wrong and the way i was treated after spending a boatload of money there the previous 2 weeks, The Capital grille has lost a customer. I will never go back.

Great food, atmosphere and staff. Staff accommodated our party of six when guests were slow to arrive.

I just went here tonight and it was very good. I was told it was better then the River Palm and it was defiantly up there with it but not necessarily better. The atmosphere is excellent and the place looks great. The service is decent and the waiter was very polite. Prices were matching the quality of the place. I would recommend this place for someone that is looking for the above average place to eat and has the extra money to spend. I am not sure why the negative reviews in didn't have anything to complain about but I wasn't looking for that like some people. Enjoy yourself this is a great place to go with friends.
