I adore sweetgreen in DC. I went to this NYC location recently and the portion was a bit small but that may have just been a one-time mistake.

Sweetgreen is the much-hyped salad bar. You can choose one of the pre-set salad options (they have a standard or seasonal menu) or make your own. The quality of the ingredients is indeed higher but that comes with a price tag, with salads ranging from $9 to $15. The salads are delicious, OMG Omega comes highly recommended.

Quick and casual meal. Lots of variety, with seasonal offerings too. All very easily customizable. The line is also much shorter here than by Chloe, if you're just looking for a good salad. They ask you how you like your dressing (light, medium, heavy), which I think is a nice detail. (Conveniently located next to Molly's Cupcakes and a bunch of gelato offerings, all of which you've earned after having a salad.)
