Super Runners Shop

Excellent store! I had a few minutes before a business meeting and entered the store. Good foot analysis, good service and a salesman with a broad knowledge.
Unfortunately I had to leave and didn't manage to get back to the store the next days.

The need to purchase a pair of running shoes for my distance training led me to this husband and wife owned chain of stores. Although this was not the only Super Runners Shop I visited, it was the one where I got the most relevant help.

Although the staff are all well versed on the running shoe brands that they represent, not all of the staff is well versed in performing a Surefoot orthotic scan to determine the type of shoe that you may need. (This was personally confirmed by me after visiting a few stores and getting different scan results under the same conditions on the same day).

So if you want good service and great shoes this is a worthy destination. However, if you fear that your running shoes have not been fitting as good as they could during your runs, I would get help from an experienced running coach before relying on a Surefoot orthotic scan provided by a store clerk at Super Runners Shop.

I got a pair of running shorts for Christmas that were a large and I needed a medium. I went to this store and Dianne could not have been more helpful. While they didn't have my size, she called 2 other stores, found a pair, had them delivered from the downtown store uptown, called me, and I picked them up today. Her customer service was extraordinary and I really appreciate it.

A week ago exactly today I purchase a pair of New Balance running sneakers for my girlfriend because of her foot surgery that she recently had for $130.00 (I found another pair on the New Balance website for $80.00 that same night because she wasn't thrilled with the style) So today I go back to this location to make the return since we where back down that way. The store manager on duty at the time processes my return. She takes my unworn kicks and receipt and proceeds to hand me $90.00 and receipt clearly says $130.64. With a befuddled looked on my face I say to her, "Um I think your a little short." She then says as she starts to walk away from the register," Those sneakers are $90.00 this week. It's our return policy." I looked at their return policy that was posted in small print that you can scumbag me if I didn't have a receipt with the lowest price from the last 60 days but I have a receipt for the merchandise. I then say, "Well that's not what I paid for them." After a half hour later and a call to the corporate office I received my full $130.00. She says that this is a "One Time Exception" My response is your return policy is not clear and unfair that you want to beat a customer out of 40 dollars. I guarantee this will be the last time that I would set foot in a super runner shop. My sport is basketball, not running through NYC to avoid walkers, cabbies, horrible store managment and having marathons while people didnt have food, water or power.

My wife and I came to Super Runners Shop with the intention of using the free video gait analysis, and the expertise of the runners that work there. We got exactly that! Bob was a great salesman who was dedicated to helping us. My wife has a specific problem with her left foot (plantar fasciitis). Bob took his time, was dedicated,concerned and thorough.He spent a considerable time analyzing her situation and gave her the choice of many different shoes to choose from! He was knowledgeable and helped us get the right shoes that were sorely needed! He also helped me out with the free video gait analysis and helped me find a shoe that was wide enough (2E). Shawn (or Sean) was also helpful. Ron at the Amsterdam ave. store was also very nice and helpful to us earlier in the day suggesting the Broadway store because of the treadmill and video gait analysis! Even though we live in Saugerties NY. (2 hours away) we will return again to this store.
