The people at Southgate are always pleasant and treat us very well. Drinks are good and the new menu is a welcome improvement.

Repeated visits alone or with friends for drinks or snacks. Very cool atmosphere. I find the place relaxing and exciting at the same time.

Large windows facing Central Park. There are a lot of contrasts. A huge fireplace in a very modern room. Glass wall holds the wines. It is inside the fancy established Essex House Hotel, so also a big visual contrast as you step in from the warm hotel lobby to this bright room.
