I ordered a Sante Fe breakfast burrito and it so dam better than all the other place I go to, and I explore the whole north region of New Jersey. And I sprang for the strawberry parfait, smiles!

kind of a hidden gem. gets quite crowded at lunch and you WILL be waiting for your food well after you've ordered. the host/owner is a pleasant lady who will personally greet you and walk you around to introduce you to the myriad of food options. they pretty much serve everything here, from a full breakfast all day to salads to pizza to deli sandwiches to cheesesteaks to sushi. yeah, it's diverse. i consider myself to be a cheesesteak expert, and the one here is OUTSTANDING. it alone would get 5 stars. i'm knocking the rating down for several reasons, however. first, the wait. it really is quite bad. they have 3-4 ppl making the food and one poor woman at the register handling it all. doesn't take much to become overwhelming. add to this their robust call ahead take out business and you're looking for trouble. they have a pager system which helps a bit. seating is quite limited, and the restaurant is configured like a mobile home, long and thin. they do have an overflow upstairs dining area, but it doesn't help much and is out of the way. restaurant reminds me of the deli counter at a truck stop. it's effective and gets the job done, but it isn't going to win any style awards
the cheesesteak is the star for me here, and it is quite large. having said that, it doesn't come with any accessories (french fries, chips, etc) other than a few pickle slices. once you begin adding they typical accessories (incidentally, despite the vast menu, they don't offer french fries) it begins to become a little pricey.
so...5 stars for the food, minus 1 for the decor and seating, minus 1 for the long lines and slightly higher prices. still, definitely worth experiencing

Terrible. Ordered simple egg omlette. They forgot the biscuit. Egg omlette smelt like plastic as well as tasted like plastic. My coworker ordered a chicken parm. Said the chicken tasted like it was cooked 2 days ago and the sauce used was obviously canned.....
On the wayyy downside .. i called to get my money back in exchange for them to come taste the omlette themselves and they WOULD NOT give me my $7.40 back even though the meal was inedible and was MISSING THE ITEMS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO COME WITH.
There are plenty of great places to eat around here. If youre looking for a delicious and always FRESH sandwich. Head on over to v&t's in south hackensack!!!!! ;)
