Played a gig there last year, funnest gig I've played in NYC. They have a built-in crowd, and they appreciate music.

the decor alone is worth the visit - but in true dive bar tradition the prices are almost as low as drinking at home!!!

Not actually a bait and tackle shop, but a very interestingly themed local bar. Bait and tackle feels like it would belong in Alaska rather than Red Hook but has all the markings of a good local bar. Deer heads and snowshoes adorn the walls and since this is Brooklyn, everyone working there has the most interesting facial hair you've ever seen until you see the next person. Good beer selection.

It is everything I every wanted in a local bar. Good food, good beer, great atmosphere, and it's half a block from where I live. Perfection in the neighborhood has been achieved, and it is the RedHook Bait and Tackle Bar
