Very nice place - the food is delicious and the decor is very pleasant and creative-the staff is also very friendly and helpful among the better Greek places in the city imo

Best Greek in NYC. Loved the Mousaka and the Napoleon Mousse (dessert).

I'm not sure if this place is actually decent or if I just liked it because I love Greek food. Pylos is decorated very nicely with clay pots and other traditional Mediterranean touches. Me and my boyfriend stopped in here on a whim in the middle of the day and it was predictably empty.
The waiter was very attentive and they had a really nice list of refreshing Greek wine. The pita and greek olive oil is a perfect starter, along with the pulpo which was charred very nicely. I had a Greek salad which sounds boring, but when you get the trifecta of fresh seasoning, delicious feta, and perfectly briny Greek olives, it can really be a treat. My boyfriend had bifteki and enjoyed his as well, although he is notoriously picky (and Greek).
Good atmosphere and well done simple Greek food.

The fish roe with warm pita was a little on the salty side, but still delicious to share -quite big portion. Pita was exquisite! Our main meals were quite good (grilled calamari salad and grilled salmon). As for the dessert, a mastika based mousse with berries... It was to die for. In total, we paid 65$ for our lunch and thought it was worth it. Definitely one of the best Greek's restaurant we've been to.
