Amor y Amargo

If you love bitters, expertly made cocktails and cramped spaces, then Amor y Amargo may be the place for you!

The drinks are absolutely incredible tasting. Each one is handcrafted by the two of the finest bartenders in NYC. They make cocktails that you have never heard of before, but after tasting, you will be pining for later. Try the Sharpie Mustache, I think its the best drink on the menu. If you don't know what you want, the bartenders will be happy to ask you questions about what you like and dislike. Then they will either recommend something on the menu or make you up something totally custom tailored to you.

Note: the space is really small. Sometimes the place is so packed, you cannot even open the door to get in the joint. But, after getting inside, you will realize why this place is so popular. I highly recommend it!

Really good drinks, although they are quite expensive. Nice atmosphere too, but it's a tiny place so if it gets really crowded that's a bummer.

Can't rate this place enough. If you're in to long, fruity cocktails, then perhaps skip it; if you enjoy a decent Old Fashioned or Manhattan and are looking for something a bit different then head on down. It's small, so can get pretty crowded, it's worth it for the drinks and friendly service though. Goes down as one of the highlights of a recent trip to the Big Apple :)

Woah! Mind officially blown! I had been reading David Wondrich's Imbibe book and a couple friends brought me here to see what this legit cocktail world is all about. I stocked up on beautiful eqient and bitters and went with dealers choice on the drinks. Both bartenders were extremely knowledgeable and had great personality. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Staff noticed and greeted us immediately in a busy space as we entered, and came out from behind the bar to take our order and deliver our drinks. All three cocktails were completely satisfying. Great experience.
