For me to go to a pet shop is always fun. So i entered Petco in Yonkers, and i found myself need to bag one of the guys who work there to come and assist me. When he eventually "decided/agreed" to help, I could tell that he does not know enough about animals to work in a pet shop.
The good thing is that they do take good care of the animals there (as much as you can in a pet shop), and their prices are fair.

Very knowledgeable manager of the aquatic section took alot of time to explain starting up an aquarium to me, a total novice. He freely shared his advice and was really helpful and friendly.

The aqueon over tank light is made of a plastic hinge that eventually breaks off leaving you with a cover that no longer has a use, at 60.00 plus dollars it is a waste of money. The hinges break off in around a year leaving you with a light, cover and a dysfunctional system.
