Reviews to Mansoura
Mansoura is a spectacular gem tucked away in Brooklyn. Their products are amazing - from the Turkish delight to the apricot roll to the dragées. But more importantly, everyone at Mansoura is incredibly helpful and courteous, whether by phone, email, or in person. I recommend Mansoura to friends and family constantly and have had their items shipped all the way down to Florida for various events. This is a New York institution that never disappoints.

I appreciate the delicious, unpretentious, elegant goodness of Mansoura pastries and have lost track of how many orders I have placed. The obvious care and attention to detail make me confident to share them as gifts and I am impressed that such delicacies travel so well all the way to Nome, Alaska.

I tried there baklava and loved it. I've been going back to this place ever since I first heard about it. The other sweets are great as well. I recommend you try the pistachio and walnut baklava which are my two favorites.Don't be fooled from the outside of the store; like they say don't judge a book by its cover. Truly the owners believe in tradition of baking food with love and care. This place is a family run business that dates back hundreds of years.

I like good food. It's why I live in a town with a lot of it. It is rare that I will make a trek more than 10 minutes to get the food I love. Mansoura Pastries is easily an hour from my house, without traffic. Yet, it is worth every minute, every toll and every parking ticket. People think that Manhattan is where all the good food may be - and the only place that can justify "Manhattan prices." I would easily pay double for any of the chocolates or pastries this bakery sells. It is the real deal, made with quality ingredients. And, I believe, still handmade!! You just can't find this kind of goodness in the mass produced crap that you see on every corner in the city. Schlep there - or order online. I would highly recommend it.

I ordered some of their goods online. The baklava was rancid! The Turkish delight was hard and rubbery! Their apricot roll was just disgusting! I contacted the owner and he refused to do anything about it. Horrible food and even worse service!!!! YUCK is all I can say!
