My family has been using this shop for years. I recently had work done on my Mercedes and could not be happier. They saved me 1/3 of the cost that the dealer wanted to charge and no problems since it has been fixed. Two years ago I thought I had a major problem, Bill, the owner got our Cadillac running perfectly with just a minor repair which lasted until we traded it in. Thanks for a job well done.

Driving up from Texas to visit family in Jersey my van broke down on the Parkway. Since I was not familiar with the area I took the advice of the tow truck driver and was towed to Lee Myles on Rt 9 in South Amboy. He was right. The staff was very knowledgeable and I received excellent, professional service. They had my van up and running in no time so I could finish the trip. Can't thank you enough for saving the day!

I don't enjoy writing this review, they seem like nice people. Brought my truck to them. After several hours I was told the transmission needed to be removed from the truck to determine the problem. I was not charged for this. Based on my very limited knowledge of electronic transmissions, I disagreed. I thought the trans needed to be installed to diagnose the problem. I took it to another shop, they determined the issue in 15 minutes. 2 hours later I was fixed. As I suspected, the issue was electronic and removing the trans would have been a huge waste of time and money.

MY RESPONSE TO THE OWNER BELOW.

You are correct Bill, there was no check engine light or code. And there was no check engine light or code when I brought the truck to the other shop within hours of leaving your place. The problem you missed turned out to be a temperature sensor telling the trans it was extremely cold when it was not. This was causing the trans to shift out of overdrive. Since this could be normal in cold climates, the computer didn't generate a trouble code. Face it, you missed it. And you wouldn't have found it with the trans removed from the truck. What would I have paid you to fix this, assuming you eventually found the issue, considering the time and labor involved in removing and installing the trans unnecessarily?

I was having a problem with my car, went there and couldn't be happier. Very honest and helpful. I went to another place first and I was told I needed a new transmission. Lee Myles Diagnosed it and informed me that all it needed was an adjustment.
Needless to say it's been almost 6 months with no issues. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
A++

My 1999 VW Jetta had a transmission issue..... I went to the dealer, I was told to fear the worse and that the whole thing would need replacing... After telling a mechanic friend about the situation, he said I should let Bill take a look at it... Bill indeed took a look and found that it was a fairly simple electronic component that failed... he replaced it and the car runs FANTASTIC.... It was a fraction of the cost of the dealer estimate for a full replacement!! Bill demonstrated how honest he is. I wouldn’t know if something needed replacing or not... he could have told me anything... Fact is he told me the TRUTH and that is so rare today!!!! Thanks Bill... you have earned my trust and business!!!!
