If you are looking for a great gift for any occasion look no further! L'Occitane has a great variety of fragrances, candles and beauty products for men and women. The majority of their ingredients are readable so that's a plus and they usually have free champagne on the weekends. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially when it comes to purchasing a gift :)

I called all of the L'Occitane stores in Manhattan looking for a specific hard to find product. A salesperson at this store said she had three, confirmed it again when I asked her to double check, and agreed she would hold them for me. I promised I'd be there in an hour. Upon arrival it turned out she hadn't looked, just assumed she had them "because they were in the drawer yesterday", and said "sorry but those items are being discontinued anyway". I spent an hour of my time in the steaming subways to get there, but that didn't matter. I wrote to the manufacturer to complain, didn't hear back. One would think that a high-end store such as this would have professional and courteous front line sales people and take the time to respond to customer feedback but apparently not. Conclusion: don't spend your money supporting this company. I used to but won't anymore.

Occasionally, L'Occitane's staff offers complimentary facials to shoppers inquiring about their skincare products. What great service? My favorite L'Occitane products include Cade aftershave for men, the Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam, Lavender Shea Butter Soap, the Immortelle Essential Water, Shea Butter Fabulous Serum, Divine Cream and the Immortelle Precious Cream. Overall, underrated, excellent products and service.
