I've had some issues with bad dates on food and their cold cuts and salads aren't as fresh as associated

Large selection of beer but check the expiration date of the beer you buy, a lot of it is already expired.

I have lived in Bushwick since 1996, and this supermarket is becoming more and more expensive thanks to the yuppies that have moved in the area. The fresh fruit is not fresh at all.

Mediocre supermarket at best. After living in this neighborhood for years and realizing there is competition they've started to improve their products by offering some organic options. Beware in the fruits and vegetables department. A lot of their produce is almost spoiled or already past its date. I've purchased vegetables that have mold growing 2 days later or peppers that were molded on the insides.

I once picked up a pack of blueberries and realized they were covered in mold. I went through all of them and they were all moldy. After addressing someone who worked there she told me to put it back and went on to tell me that they sell them to the hipsters for cheaper. That they simply wash the mold off and sell at a deep discount. They obviously know nothing about how mold contaminates everything around it and can make someone very ill. Purchase what comes sealed because their "fresh" produce is far from fresh.
