Hyatt Place Secaucus/Meadowlands

Me and gf stayed here for one night after we attended the Beer Expo next door at the convention center. We were just looking for a clean room to wind down a bit that was within walking distance. I decided to book this place based on the favorable TripAdvisor reviews and the affordable price. We paid around $128 a night which in my opinion is a great value. I must say that from the moment we walked in it was very comfortable. The night staff was very friendly, accomodating and courteous. They provided excellent customer service which is hard to find in this area.

The hotel grounds and lobby was very clean which is always good to see. We stayed in room 201 it was at the end of the hall next to the stairs. Their is a very nice covered walkway from the parking garage right to the hotel which made it very convenient and parking was free!

The room was very spacious and clean. We found the bed to be surprisingly comfortable too. The room had a small dining/living area and another section were the bed was located. Like others mentioned the ice machines are located every other floor or so, not the most convenient thing but the hotel is so small that its not bad at all.

The guys at the front desk even made sure to go out of their way to accomodate my needs. My gf wasnt feeling well and when I asked about local pharmacys they offered different options.

The location is definitly a plus! Transportation to NYC is right across the street. There is a starbucks and dunkin donuts within a 5 min walk as well as a movie theater and plenty of restaurants.

However one of the best parts is that although its a small place they do have a cappuccino machine with starbucks coffee and small snack/bar area in the lobby
which is open 24/7.

Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and will definitely use this hotel again during future trips to NYC area. Book with confidence!!

The water pressure in the shower was awful and painful and the bathtub was worn. The workers were rude and careless. The breakfast was terrible. The hotel was a host for an event and refused to give a full refund after the event was cancelled.

Pre-cruise night to visit New York. Bus stop right beside the hotel for a 20 mins ride. Free parking all cruise length. Large room. Very decent breakfast. Staff helpfulness.

Perfect for my nyc trips with a nj transit bus stop right across the street. Good clean rooms and decent breakfast. Recommended

Customer Service was bad, breakfast ladies looks like they were very tired and sad. I got home and saw a pending charge on my credit card, the host said" it won't be charged." I wouldn't go back there but, it was worth the try(because i saw good reviews.) There were better hotels nearby. This place was just worth a try, i thought it wouldn't be that bad, but it was really bad.

2 stars - because walmart was nearby, lots of restaurants and couple of clothing stores if you need anything. and of course the bus stop was right out of the back door. Sofa bed and bed were comfortable.

1 star - customer service, bad place of sink placement( it was outside of the bathroom), bad city view(don't ask for a city view, just ask for a big room) room lighting needs to be more lively.
