Clarion Hotel Empire Meadowlands Hotel

I had a awesome experience with Clarion Hotel empire. First class staffs and booked my room without a problem and checked out with ease. The staffs always put on smiles and the environment was friendly. No hitch at all. Highly recommended.

This hotel is frequently unclean and there are constant maintenance issues. Their food is subpar and overpriced. If you don't mind a short walk of about 0.1 mile you can go across the street for food and drinks. Krauszer's Food & Liquor is at 40 Meadowlands Parkway.

The room was nice, the service great. Manager Scott was very accommodating. I would highly recommend this place. Kids friendly.

* No parking! bring you a "scrap of paper": free hotel parking. But no parking spot in the area so you have to park far away and walk a lot.
*The rooms Not 100% clean. Parts of the wall falling in the shower. We find hair in the shower. The floor (which is a carpet in the room) isn't clean!
* The toilets aren't working good something is broken when you flush The water it continue and not stop. So you have So you have an irritating noise And it's also a waste of water
* The Wireless Internet working so bad . It's Disconnects you every minute And when you are connected to the Internet is very slow. In parts of the room you don't have a signal.
* The air-conditioning doesn't working. Monitor works but you modify something, nothing happens. After I went to reception And called 3 times from the room. They Don't do anything. The last time I called the guy told me that now they're on it and in a few minutes it going to work. Nothing happened!! I Slept with clothes and 2 blanket....
I have more things to say but you already understand....

Even if you need to save money I strongly discourage booking a room at this hotel less than several months from now (August 2015). The parking garage is closed for maintenance and if you don't get one of the 30 or so spots in their local lot you have to park off-site 3 miles away and call their taxi service to get you to and from the hotel. The staff is pretty bad, slow, and the rooms were not cleaned well or consistently. There were hairs that weren't mine on the walls of the shower the night I checked in and they never moved. Their restaurant and lounge are not open and instead the dinner service is at their ugly bar with only one server. The breakfast service is $12 which seems like a ripoff though I never actually got to experience it because the three nights I stayed there (4 mornings total) it did not open on time and I had a customer schedule to meet.

Perhaps I'd give it a second star for the river view (which wasn't bad) combined with the low price but unfortunately the lights on the roof are so bright at night the glare prevents you from being able to even enjoy that!
