High Mountain Health

I had to wait over an hour to see a doctor. Their employees were unprofessional, shiftless and rude. They acted as if they were doing me a personal favor by taking my money and accepting my insurance. They became defensive when I advocated for myself. They were very aggressive about collecting after my insurance did not cover something. They got my name wrong repeatedly even though it was right in front of them and it's a very simple name. They did not know how to process the claim correctly then took it out on me when the bill was not covered by insurance.

My experience with the doctors here has always been great. However, DO NOT! I repeat, DO NOT!! agree to see the physicians assistant that they have on staff. I went to High Mountain Health in an emergency situation. My dentist was unreachable. I was in excruciating pain with a bad sinus infection and horrible tooth abscess. Unfortunately, without an appointment, I was told that there were no doctors available and that I could see a physician's Assistant. (I thought this was now a walk in medical center???!!!) Emerlinda Imperio (the physicians assistant), treated me like I was a drug addict when I asked for a good strong pain killer. I instead ended up with Asprin with Codeine which, didn't even slightly take the edge off the pain. By the next morning, by the time I got to the endodontist, my face was swelled up like a balloon and I was delirious from the pain!!!! It took 6 shots of novocaine to ease the pain. Please, do yourself a favor and see a REAL DOCTOR!!!!!!!!
