I live in NJ and have been suffering from a cervical herniated disc. I have received over 10 recommendations to see Dr Sandhu as they claim he is the most patient and knowledgeable Dr they have come across in this field. While I could barely function for months i seemed to get better once I was recommended to him and never went in (I first made an appt, got better, rescheduled in fear it would come back, and then cancelled)

My 5 stars goes to his staff. I have seen 3 other doctors in NJ and the ppl working the phones were awful and never even pick up. Elizabeth had to be the nicest and most caring secretary I have ever dealt with. If you are at the 3 month mark, or just want to see a real Dr., I would drive in and get the right care you deserve, I have just thankfully gotten better but appreciate the interaction with this office. Try it for yourself!

After a horrific consultation with a spine surgeon in New Jersey, I turned to HSS because of my "I've had enough" state of mind. My husband and I drove into NYC to see Dr. Sandhu and after his consultation we were blown away by his demeanor, call it his bedside manner. But his thoroughness and patience in explaining my condition and what needed to be done left us no doubt that he was going to fix me. I suffered from a herniated and regenerated lower 4/5 lumbar disc that tortured me endlessly. I will never try to say that this surgery is a walk in the park and it didn't hurt after surgery; however, after a 2 month recovery period and a 12 week program of physical therapy (three 1-hour sessions per week), I now feel like a new person. I've recommended Dr. Sandhu time and again and will continue to do so. Good luck!
