Gyro Corner

I tried to order a combination gyro bifteki and donner which I had gotten for years and they said bifteki is not part of the combination anymore. I called gyro world instead and it was much better than gyro corner's food. I guess they did me a favor by turning my order down.

Every time I return back to NYC, I make it a point to get over to Gyro Corner and have their Bifteki, Greek Salad, Souvlaki, or Gyro. This isn't a fancy spot that you take your girlfriend on a one year anniversary date, but it is the place when you want to have a pure eating experience without the price or fuss. You will not be disappointed. I'm not Greek, but I am always impressed by how many Greeks in the community take pride and make Gyro Corner 'their spot'.

PRO: Excellent prices, very clean, food is always fresh - it is just obvious once it arrives on the table in front of you, quick, huge serving sizes, plenty of street parking within two block radius, delivery
CON: Isn't a fancy place to take a date to (shame because food is so good), cannot park in the attached parking lot

Don't eat the falafel...place is awful... Low standards

Great greek restaurant in the area of Bayside. Reasonably priced and great food is hard to find in this area, I love the burgers and fries here and the gyro meat is killer. I would recommend also the homemade pita bread and the gyro family platter. The overall atmosphere is great with outdoor eating available.
