Francis Lewis Pastry Shoppe

Once again, Francis Lewis Pastry Shoppe has exceeded my expectations. My nephew's 3rd grade class went on a class trip here a few weeks ago. From the warm welcome by the friendly staff, to the baking lesson by Pastry Chef John, to the delicious paninis and gelato for lunch, my nephew keeps raving about his experience. It was a wonderful experience that all the teachers and students enjoyed. I will be recommending this class trip idea to my daughter's teacher for next year!

Not only is their service fantastic, their paninis and desserts are the best in NYC. Although I live more than 10 miles away, I drive out of my way to taste and buy their desserts (especially gelato, cannolis, cakes and prosciutto bread). In fact, whenever I visit friends and family, they always asking me to stop by and bring desserts from here. I tried the others (old, dirty and disgusting bakeries) but this is hands down, the best bakery in the area (and the cleanest for that matter)!!!

Had a great experience at Francis Lewis. It has a very trendy and modern look, plus the Gelato is delicious. Very wide variety.

Francis Lewis Pastry Shoppe should really educate and inform their employees on customer service, especially where people with disabilities are concerned. I went there last night with a group of friends to have dessert. One of my friends is visually impaired and uses a trained licensed service animal. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude and told us "pets" are not allowed in the shop. We explained that he was not a "pet" he is a service animal. She said it didn't matter because they had already been fined by the health inspector before and told us we couldn't have the animal in the bakery. We tried to educate her on the laws which protects people with disabilities but after her continued rudeness and disrespect we decided to take our business elsewhere.

Shame on you Francis Lewis Pastry Shoppe!!!

OMG. The best Pignole cookie I have ever had. YOu can drive all around Flushing and not find a nicer family bakery than this. My mom turned me on to them after she had their Red Velvet Cake, which was great!!
