Be prepared for MAGIC!

Rebecca and Lauren were very open to ideas, knowledgeable, and practical. I had asked for a garden that was not typical Upper East Side, informal yet elegant, complex without being fussy, serene yet lyrical, subtle textures, interesting plants that would bloom sequentially for as much of the year as possible, night blooms, some evergreen (not pine). Sent photos of three pieces of art in my house – for visual feel. Asked them to listen to Bavouzet’s recording of Debussy’s “Suite Bergamasque” – if my garden were music that is how it would sound. (When telling my friends what I had asked for, every one just would look at me with dropped jaw and express doubt that anyone could “get it” and do it.) My gorgeous garden reflects each one of those things! The oasis they have created has really enriched my life.

And everyone on the team is wonderful! For ongoing care of the garden, Rebecca and Lauren welcome questions and appreciate one’s appreciation of the garden.
They are kind, creative, intelligent, honest (e.g., I was ready to subscribe for weekly maintenance and Rebecca informed me that my garden was low maintenance and they would see me in the Fall & Spring! and in between as needed), so easy to work with (e.g., scheduling snafus resulting from delayed planter shipments, collaborative in modifying the irrigation system), reliable, and professional.

Last spring my wife and I decided to have our roof deck landscaped by Greenery NYC and it was the smartest decision we made for our home and our sanity. After doing our research to see what was involved in attempting to landscape it ourselves, we soon realized how many different variables there were and that we risked wasting a lot of time and money if we tried to do it on our own. My friend recommended them to me and i contacted them to explain what we wanted to do. Initially, we sent them some photos of our space to get the ball rolling and from that point we were able to work with Greenery NYC to achieve the beautiful tranquil space we were hoping for. Rebecca came to do an evaluation on site and discuss our options. We went over how much sun and wind the space received as well as what kind of theme we wanted. We discussed creating privacy from the neighboring buildings as this was also something we were looking for. Rebecca was able to consult with her team and send us a proposal outlining the various design options and costs involved as well as a visual reference for the plants and containers. This was extremely helpful as it made the decisions easier with the visual guides. The installation went smoothly and my wife and i were extremely pleased with the results. The ceremonial glass of wine and watering of the plants was something we enjoyed for the entire summer. I highly recommend these guys because they made the whole process fun. From plant selection to picking the right containers to installation and maintenance, we never would have been able to do it without the the team at Greenery NYC. We continue to receive follow ups to make sure our garden is doing well and to field any questions we may have which is very helpful for novice gardeners like my wife and I.
