Sitting outside is nearly impossible but inside is lovely. Went for brunch with a girlfriend awhile ago and the food was extremely fresh. Definitely recommend to anyone.

The classic tavern-looking atmosphere and numerous outdoor patrons draw you in. But the food and service were below average. Our pizza and pasta tasted like microwave food. The server could not understand menu questions I was asking him in plain English. We also asked him to split up the check and he didn't.

I've only been to Gemma once and it is a chill spot for a drink in the afternoon or on the weekend, so I guess I would go back. The cocktail list is interesting, but not well done (I had a mezcal cocktail and a prosecco mixed drink). Me and a girlfriend also shared a small plate that was not good but not bad either.
The decor is interesting, huge space, but looking around it just seemed like a lot of people visiting from New Jersey or post-graduation groups. Not really my atmosphere, but the actual hotel next door is fantastic.. not sure if Gemma is affiliated or not.
I agree good people watching and decent prices, but not an interesting menu at all.
