Once you get in, you'll be greeted with a cozy, low-key white room with gentle music playing in the background, and a menu offering delicious plates such as uni croquettes and whole roasted fish.

Though you probably need to either make 6 figures or take out a second mortgage to afford it, I find it totally worth it. Picked up 2 rib-eye steak to cook up for my wife and I for our anniversary and I can safely say we made an excellent decision in eating in this time around. Get the cast iron skillet SCORCHING hot, just put a dash of salt and pepper on the steak and cook for about a minute and a half on each side for a PERFECT rare steak. A thing of beauty really...

There is a Japanese restaurant behind the butcher, which has a great atmosphere. Unlike many restaurants in NY, this one is not very densely packed. The dishes are also very nicely done. We enjoyed the salad fondue, and the sweet potato. The duck breast was a bit tough, but the desert and coffee are nice too. The price is very reasonable, and the overal dinning experience is great.
