My favorite Sicilian restaurant! It is well worth the trip to Brooklyn, if you live in the City. Their bread is amazing and they have amazing panelli! Highly-recommend.

I've eaten here dozens of times over 25 years and i've never been disappointed, Bring cash and a healthy appetite. Nothing's fancy here, no pretensions to uber cuisine, just basic Southern Italian comfort food served in generous portions, Oh, don't forget the panelle ,,, and the polpo and calamari salad ... and, well, almost everything. If they served draft beer, I might rent the apartment above the joint.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday 8/21/14. I had the arrancini and sausage parm sandwich. The arrancini was amazing and I am sorry I did not get a few to go. The sausage was outstanding, the cheese was fresh and the sauce was great. The roll was a little hard but I arrived at about 2pm so they were most likely made in the morning. They did get softer with the sauce and cheese after a short time.
Place brings you back in time and I cannot wait to go there again.
