Not your typical Indian fare (e.g., chicken tikka masala, lamb korma, naan). The many dosa dishes with the dipping sauces are tasty, enormous, and satisfying. Always, always, always get a dosa. However, I am often disappointed with their other entrees. While the rice dishes are tasty, the portion sizes are lacking. We ordered another rice dish thinking that they would improve after relocating from Carroll Gardens to Fort Greene, but again we were disappointed. From now on, only dosas.

Really nice menu with a good mix of options, some staples and some unique stuff. Not enough places have Dosas and these are good. Not the cheapest place but very very good and not as oily as some Indian.

Worst dosa ever. Sambar was terrible too.

We recently visited Dosa Royale for a birthday dinner celebration. We were warmly greeted. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was authentic and delicious. The portions were good and our group of eight left feeling full. Our favorite dishes were the Shrimp Kolumbu, Tamarind Rice (w/fried egg), Onion Rava Dosa, and the mango lassi. We highly recommend this restaurant.
