I have always wanted to go to NYC and visit the fabulous,historic
Delmonico's.This is elegant,fine dining at its Best !!!
Inside Delmonico's - classic elegance:dark panelled
wainscotting;high ceilings -
the exqiusite plaster sculpting and carved moldings;chandeleirs give soft light,or turned down low for an intimate setting; the a white linen tablecloths and napkins;vibrant red accents contrast with soft luscious hues of reds and
creams in the carpeting juxtaposed with the white walls;the chinaware presented as art itself . . . All of this
nesteled in this grand,historic building . . .
all of this coming together for an
elegant,intimate experience. An atmosphere that is beyond belief . . . and Romantic!? Wow! The cuisine:

I have heard of Delmonico's
frequently throughout my
years : especially the 1920s,30s,40s(my mom was there after the War)the 1950s&early 60s.Seeing Delmonico's portrayed in novels,the papers,
movies&tv and coming to life in your photos is most definitely food for the soul,no pun inended.The Duke&The Count. . .The Chairman Of The Board;
actors&actresses,writers; the people of all walks of life who have come through leaded window doors, . . . . from all over the world! I have dreamed and pictured in my mind of
what Delmonico's might look like.Your pictures surpassed
my wildest imaginations!
Man,it is so nice to know that True Class,Style and Respect for Tradition still
exist in this crazy world where seemingly everything has to be fast tracked . . . . .
hip;noveau riche.Give me peppers,sausige,spaghetti-marinara sauce with a Delmonico "double-cut" porterhouse steak anyday.
I am sure Danny Aiello's character in his movie, 'Dinner Rush', would agree with me.And,"That's the kind of hairpin I am."

Classic Wall Street steak house. Great service. Quality food.

Copious streaks come with a hefty price tag. Add a few side dishes and your bill equals making a down payment on a yacht. But aside from the steep price the steaks are mouth watering. The décor is classic, some might argue that a rejuvenation of the interior is overdue. Others might claim that to add to this restaurant it's charm.

Maybe I'm just a dumb hick from SC - but I thought an 8 pm reservation meant an 8 pm reservation. They gave away our reservation because we were not there a half hour before the reservation time- when everything was fucked up because of late season snow anyway. Thanks so much, Blue Note, for ruining one of the two or three nights I get in NY per year

Thank you yelp reviews. RSVP'd for 11 people on Oct. 9th, a Friday evening! This is a must go! Has to be a destination place if you live outside Bergen County area! I preordered 8 different tapas for table, all were fantastic and loved by everyone. The entrees were each persons choice. Everyone ordered something different and were blown away by the freshness, taste, and presentation of each dish! Dessert ordered bread pudding and flan. Both amazing with the bread pudding leading with an all thumbs up because everyone had mouth full with all smiles! Service was impeccable, even handled special orders without havering to ask chef! The one very small criticism was the house yellow rice. Very bland with no seasoning. But overall a great meal, wonderful Sangria, great atmosphere, A+ service and A Must go to! For sure everyone will be going back and I've already told dozens of friends to go! If your into fresh great food you have to go
