Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises

OK boat - good narration. Amazing views. Not luxurious but effective. A great way to see the NYC skylines and the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. We enjoyed it.

Their evening City Lights tour was just great. Boat wasn't too packed so plenty of room to watch and take pictures, and the commentary was both witty and informative. I'd do this again.

My husband and I took our boys, 9 and 10, on the Landmark Tour this afternoon. Malachy was our tour guide and he was excellent, personable, and extremely knowledgeable about all things NYC.

What disappointed us was departing from the dock late... about 12 minutes late. The tickets clearly state that the boat leaves at 3:30 pm and that guests should arrive to the dock 45 minutes prior. After 3:30 pm, guests were still arriving and coming aboard late! This situation caused our naturally impatient children to become even more so as we waited to depart. And consequently, we returned from the trip about 17 minutes late because we had started the cruise late. We thought we would return at 5 pm and in fact we returned at 5:17 pm.

Also, we sat in the "quiet room" for the duration of the cruise. And we were very annoyed that a family sat behind us and proceeded to be anything but quiet, even though our guide Malachy explained the different parts of the boat, and more specifically, that we were all sitting in the "quiet room."

All in all, the cruise was ok...but guests-- who are late AND those who do not understand the purpose of the quiet room-- impact how other guests experience the cruise.

Maybe the tour guides need to reinforce the rules of the boat, i.e. the quiet room, throughout the cruise. I was interested in what Malachy was saying about NYC history, but much of the time, I could not listen to him because the family behind us with very young children were making too much noise in the the quiet room, and their parents did not acknowledge the purpose of the room.

We had a great Tour Guide (Andy C). He was extremely super great! he information he had was wonderful! He was presented with a situation before we left dock (a very rude and inconsiderate passenger was creating a scene) and he handled it very well!

He was great as was the company!

Last Thursday my dad and I took the 1:00 P.M cruise that took us around about half of the island of Manhattan. We both agreed it was the best part of our trip. We learned more and saw more on this cruise than any museum could do justice. forget a bus tour. Circle-Line Sightseeing is my 1# recommendation for any trip to NYC!! David was our guide and he was fresh,funny,entertaining and very well educated. He is the best tour guide in the Big Apple hands down! He even helped us out at the Subway that evening.

Next time I visit New York...I'm touring around the whole island with Circle-Line Sightseeing!
