My wife went to the new Carlo's just to see what all the fuss was about. She bought some cupcakes, cream puffs and rainbow cookies. And unfortunately I have to say very disappointing. The chocolate cupcake tasted like a drakes devil dog, very dry. The icing was gritty and very oily tasting. The rainbow cookies were ok, nothing great. And the cream puffs were nothing special. All of these items tasted like they were made in a factory, not at the bakery. For the $30 she spent, I'd expect a lot better. Next time if she wants to buy instead of just making it herself I'd suggest Entenmanns. Don't waste your time going just because they are on tv.

We ordered a cake for a very special event and 2 hours before the event we went to pick it up. There were 2 things wrong - shape and flavor of the cake. It was too late to act.

Well people make mistakes and it's probably ok to make mistakes but when we reached out to them, they did not acknowledge that there was a mistake on their side.

I stopped going to them since then and instead prefer to go to local bakeries that values customers.

Pastries and cakes tasted HORRIBLE!! I've been to the Carlos bakery in the city and the their product is amazing! Nothing compared to this branch. My family and I went in around 1 pm and everything was empty, they only had cookies, chocolate cake, and cannolis. The cannolis tasted cheap and sour. Never going back.

It was ok. I didn't get the homely, bakery flavors and quality I expected. The cakes were dry and flavorless, the frostings were ok, and the cookies were ok. There wasn't anything special about any of the treats I bought. I was very disappointed.
