If I could give them less than 1 star, I would.
My experience with LGA Budget is getting more ridiculous every time I rent a car from there, but I am stuck with this company because of my work project. I rent a car from Budget every week on Sundays. I have manager's phone number on speed dial because the shuttle drivers either do not stop to pick up customers or make us wait on average of 30-40 minutes in the cold before they pick us up to take us to the rental place. The last time I picked up my car, I waited for 40 minutes, got picked up by Avis shuttle ( God bless that driver, who passed us 3 times and Budget hasn't passed us once and then had mercy to pick us up even though we weren't Avis customers ). When we got to the rental place, Budget shuttle was parked by the entrance, with the driver napping (!!!) in the back of the shuttle...lovely. After that, I waited 30 more minutes in line to get checked out - I am a Fastbreak customer and it shouldn't even take me 5 minutes for me to get my car, nevertheless 30 minutes. It was 1 am and after freezing outside while waiting for a shuttle and waiting for 30 minutes, all I wanted to do was drive to my hotel.
That's only one instance of how terrible that location is. Another example would be the week before when I picked up my car, drove from LGA to CT, and only by my second toll did the nice lady told me that my toll pass has been opened the whole time. Now I have to deal with EZ toll people because Budget doesn't want to take responsibility for not closing that toll pass on my window shield before renting the car to me. I have to present all the receipts for the tolls that I paid in cash ( I always do that ), so that I don't get charged by EZ toll for my window shield pass being opened. Thank you Budget for making my life more difficult with your unprofessional way of taking care of customers.
It's became a habit for me now to land at LGA, go outside - wait for shuttle for forever, then call the manager and ask him to wake someone up to pick me up. Only then, someone lazily pulls up to my terminal to get the customer. And the reason why I call the manager is because the phone at that location has been turned off ( the ringer volume ), so no one picks up the phone when you call. I know that because I asked for their direct number, then called them and no phone was ringing. They turned off the phone to ignore the customers.
"Amazing" location - can't wait until I don't have to use them anymore, because in general my experience with Budget has been positive in other locations.
