Worst experience ever! Do not order from this retailer. They are either extremely dishonest or extremely stupid. I ordered a new dining room table on 11/28 and set up delivery for 12/8. I took a 1/2 day off from work to wait for the delivery. When the delivery truck came, it had the 6 chairs and the table top... No table base. I was told that I could just reschedule the entire delivery for 11/15 or I could accept partial delivery. I choose to just reschedule the entire delivery even though it would mean taking another 1/2 day off of work.

I called Bob customer care number back shortly after rescheduling to see if I could get an earlier date and found out that the table top was back ordered until January 5th. Now I was confused because the delivery man said that he had the table top on the truck. Just as confused was the associate I was on the phone with because she could not tell me if it was the top or the base on the truck. All she knew was that I was not going to get the table until January 5th.

Even though I had already gotten rid of my old dining room table, I decided to just cancel the order because dealing with this type of incompetence was too frustrating. So the customer service number put me through to Bob's Paramus, which is the store that I purchased the table from. The first sale associate tried to get me to buy another table(!) and when I refused said that I needed to speak to a manager, but that they were all "in a meeting" and would need to call me back. I'm still waiting for that call back.

Of all of the annoying and frustrating things that happened today, the most upsetting is how unilaterally undisturbed all of the employees were that I dealt with today. From the delivery man, to the all of the Bob's customer service reps, to the sales associate, not one of them really seemed to care about the situation or seemed to want to do anything to rectify it. This makes me think that this type of thing is the norm for them.

My advice is your hard earned money is better spent in a place that value customer service and their customers.

We purchased a top grain leather couch, which could only be delivered at the 2nd attempt because the first delivery team decided it didn't fit the staircase. 2 weeks later the in-built sleeper broke,we had service people come in 3 times in a period of 4 months ( yes, 4 months with a broken couch). First we were told it needed a change of part. The second time, the service person came without the part (despite me talking to the Customer Service manager before that & having him put it down in written they would have the part). Finally, the last guy decided to finally unveil that the couch was beyond repair & the two other service guys bluntly lied to us. When we called asking for our money back we were explained that we allegedly signed a waiver at purchase stating no refund, only exchange. WOW. I went personally back to the shop and finally the new salesman, Steve Messing, treated us like a human being and we had not other choice but to pick a new sofa. After another wait of 1,5 months because the new couch was not in stock we received it without any delivery issues now that i/of a sleeper, it has a recliner. Everything's fine now but this was the worst customer experience of my life. I would never recommend anyone to buy anything there & am basically just waiting for the new couch to break again soon....

We recently purchased TWO new leather couches from Salesman Ben at Bob's! He was perfect- not too pushy- very helpful- and made the experience so simple. When we asked for a quick delivery, he put us in for two days after the purchase. We received a call that night and the next night that the delivery would be occur between 6:32 and 9:32 AM on Friday. On Friday morning at 7:00 we got a call that the men were 5 minutes out. All three delivery men were incredibly kind, efficient, professional and helpful. We have never had such a positive experience buying furniture and everyone loves our two new couches. Thank you!

What started out as a very negative experience turned positive thanks to the excellent customer service I received by Bob's and by the delivery company they had contracted to deliver my furniture. An issue with the delivery was promptly addressed by both Bob's and the owner of the delivery company, and I was extremely impressed by the way the issue was handled.

I work for a large company and know firsthand that no matter how good your products or services are, nothing is 100% perfect 100% of the time. It's how those imperfect instances are handled that determines whether the company keeps the customer or loses their business forever. I am pleased to say that Bob's and the delivery company handled this matter promptly, courteously and professionally and both have earned my trust and business going forward.
