There Sandwiches Are Awesome!!! I Love Them. The Employees Are Nice. There Food Is Great!!!

I am a native New Yorker who has been a Blimpie fan since childhood. What a joy, until today, it was for me and for my family whom I have introduced to the Blimpie's unique flavor years ago, to have a Blimpies in Union City,NJ. We order one sometimes two large Blimpie's Best sandwiches twice weekly. Yesterday, my daughter who LOVES Blimpie's began eating a quarter piece of the sandwich and as she reached the half of her piece, she noticed an odd sour taste and immediately stopped eating it. I called the store immediately and spoke to an employee who told me that I would have to speak to the owner the following day but that he doubted that the owner would do anything because my daughter had bitten into the sandwich. It sounded almost comical and ironic that a restaurant would not stand behind their food because the customer "bit into their food."
Today, I called the owner, Juan who hears me call several times weekly for a delivered order and he immediately said "I can't do anything for you!" "If you bit into the sandwich, there's nothing I can do and NOBODY would do anything for you if you bit the sandwich!" I was in shock for several reasons, how does a restaurant owner fathom that a customer would know that there's an issue with the food unless the customer tastes it?? How does a businessman who speaks to a happy customer twice weekly for years and has never had an issue with them, even dispute over a $9.66 sandwich and not realize that a good customer is worth more than the $9.66 ????? He then scolded saying "WHY DIDN'T YOU RETURN IT?" I replied that I called and spoke to his employee who only suggested that I speak to the owner who was not there. "I would have returned it if your employee would have handled the issue but he simply told me to call you, furthermore, I have the 3/4 piece of your sandwich that I would have returned," I answered. He continued to want to argue then said, "LOOK, I HAVE A CUSTOMER AND I'M BUSY WHAT DO YOU WANT A FREE SANDWICH?" That was insulting, the "free sandwich" part made it clear that he was not acknowledging that the "paid" sandwich that I still had most of had a strange flavor and I was willing to return it. He repeated, "IF YOU WANT A FREE SANDWICH, I'LL SEND IT." AGAIN INSULTING with the "FREE SANDWICH" clearly indicating that not only was he a really bad business man but an ignorant and rude one as well. I have his spoiled sandwich, I am out of $9.66 but he is out of an excellent customer. Interesting that Blimpies is a restaurant chain that is unfortunately quickly disappearing and that one of the few is run with such poor business ethics. To those eating at this establishment, BEWARE. Pray that the meat is fresh because if you notice a bad taste to the sandwich, the policy here is "YOU BITE, YOU LOSE!"

The only problem is web site said they r open tel 8 they close early
