Bistro Chat Noir

Thursday, January 14, 2016, 2pm: Disappointing meal. Slow service. Got order wrong. Condescending waiter. Charged $5 per glass per refill of iced tea. Would not patronize this restaurant ever again.

since moving to 66th street, we have been frequent diners at the bistro.when we first started going there the food was good, atmosphere always delightful however the last few time we have dined at the bistro our experience was extremely poor. the most recent, xmas eve the food was so bad that after paying close to $100 per plate we left without finishing the meal. the meat was prepared incorrectly. my wife sent hers back and it came 20 minutes later. the meat was bland and rubbery. the mashed potatoes were hard and cold. the desserts were poorly prepared. we had eaten there shortly before and it was adequate but not as bad as this last experience, since we live very close, we even went back a few days later to complain and the hostess had no interest in listening. i guess we will need to find a new neighborhood bistro, good thing there are many to choose from.

Delicious. The servers sat us right away, our food came rather quickly and it was well prepared. The serving portions were generous, but not too large. And omg- their chocolate soufflé is AMAZING. Huge portion and worth every bite.

Great place for a quiet business lunch or other meeting where ou want to talk. Tucked away on 66th streeet they offer very nice fish steaks and otehr specialties. Very comfortable relaxing environment. Friendly service.
