Avis Car Rental

Let me start out by saying that my experience with Avis over the last 20 years has been nothing short of exceptional. I will use them again but would like to share my most recent experience.
In January i rented a car from Newark Airport. I asked to confirm that the EZPASS was in the car. Before leaving I checked that the device was there. Arriving at the toll I found the the device itself was not in the box. Thankfully I was able to reverse the car out of the toll and luckily found a few coins to pay to get on to the GS Parkway. Exiting I had no coins and no EZYPASS (no attendant was there either), so i drove through. On returning the car i asked the attendant to note that the EZYPASS was missing
On my return to my home I found that Avis had billed me 75 cents for the toll and $19.75 for a "convenience fee"!! I guess this is nice term for a fine. i do not know what to do at this point and i do not have the time to try to get a reimbursement
PLEASE CHECK THAT YOUR EZYPASS IS ACTUALLY IN YOUR CAR before you leave Avis.

I have rented here numerous times and have always had a good experience. The preferred process works flawlessly and the cars are clean and in great condition. Staff is always friendly and helpful. This is one of the better Avis facilities.

Traveling home with my family from a business/mini-vacation trip on Monday, Jan 25, 2016 following the large snow storm that crippled the airlines on the eastern seaboard was challenging to say the least. Delays, cancellations, and large stand-by list for flights was only half the frustration. When we arrived at Newark for our lay-over, of course all flights from there to Dulles had been cancelled and the best they could provide was a stand-by flight out of LaGuardia the next night at 8pm. That's when I decided to contact Avis and just drive to Dulles to get our vehicle and head home. It was such a welcome pleasure to work with someone without hassles and limitations. They were able to assist and get us out of there within minutes of arriving at their office. The assistance upon arriving at Dulles was as good and we were heading home in no time.

Staff were incredibly helpful, greeting me in a warm and friendly manner, directing me to my car with ease (Avis Preferred member) and coming to check everything was ok, in a non-obtrusive and professional manner.
Upon returning the car I was greeted quickly and shown level of service that can only be described as exceptional

My experience with Avis rental was seamless. We arrived at the rental location with ease based on the close proximity to the airport. The staff that I encountered were efficient, pleasant, and knowledgeable. The wait to be assisted was minimal. During my acquisition I was informed of an error on the size of vehicle I requested. The counter attendant was swift in obtaining a more desirable size of vehicle to accommodate my family. The vehicle was easily located in the holding area. It was clean and well maintained. Check-out was a breeze.
