AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I received excellent and prompt attention for a routine, required annual inspection. This is particularly noteworthy for three very important reasons: first, there is no charge for this type of service (required to maintain the lifetime transmission warranty); second, the original repair work was not done at this AAMCO location (so I wasn't a returning customer); third, this is the very first time I visited this location (after less satisfactory experiences at other AAMCOs).

FYI, the place which did the original repair went out of business years ago, which necessitated annual visits to different AAMCOs. Bayside AAMCO was, by far, my best experience!

Excellent service. Most of all I appreciated the careful and honest diagnosis of my car's problem. Michael is my hero!

I noticed the "check engine" light lit on my dashboard. A local service station said I needed a new transmission for $2,000. I was reluctant to go ahead with a big job based on just one computer code. My brother said: Go to a transmission expert! So I called Aamco and I trusted Mike on the phone right away. He asked me to leave the car and he'd check it out thoroughly. He found that all it needed was a new range sensor -- for $192. It solved the problem, he did it the same day, and I am very grateful to have found someone who knows what he's doing and is honest with me for a change. I highly recommend this place!

I can't say enough about Aamco in Bayside.
I had originally taken my car to another service station, where they told me that I needed a whole new transmission.. Disheartened, I took my car to the Aamco in Bayside. They diagnosed my car and it turned out that it wasn't even the transmission that was the problem! Aamco took care of it quickly and they didn't charge me that much.
I appreciate Aamco's expertise and honesty.
