Great sushi in an down-to-earth atmosphere with reasonable prices. Great lunch menu as well. Slow service used to be an issue but that has greatly improved over the years. Good for families as well.

I came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at how fresh the sushi is and were not charged for drinks :) my new favorite lunch spot.

This is a hidden gem. There is so much mediocre sushi on long island except if you want to pay up for Toku or Nisen. Yuzu serves super high quality and creative sushi at very affordable prices. The sushi is always fresh and the appetizers are delicious - I recommend the arugula tuna and the salmon tartar. I can't imagine why anyone would wait for a table at Kotubuki when you can have a far better meal at Yuzu. My family orders in at least once a week. When dining in, it is not uncommon for the Manager to say hello and check in on your experience.

I’ve read some negative reviews but most of them seemed to be based on personal preference and taste. I thought the food was very creative and appetizing. Personally, I think one has to have an open mind and be willing to try a different style - after all, it is FUSION food. I’ve had a great experience; the staff was friendly and chef’s choices were right on point. The problem is that a lot of the food they recommend aren’t not on menu. Maybe they should do a omakase menu.
