Disappointing dining experience. Decided to celebrate my birthday with family and friends - the food was okay, nothing spectacular, four scallops for $32!! The girl taking the drink orders was not with it - my guest gave their drink order and we ordered a bottle of wine and she forgot my son-in-laws (there were only 9 of us) then my daughter ordered a 2nd martini and after 30 minutes, finally told the waiter to forget the martini only to be bought 2! Hmmm....should have checked the bill to make sure I wasn't charged for 3.

So not worth a $755.08 experience.

New Years Day lunch

BEWARE
Understaffed or under trained. Went for lunch with great expectations with friends from Greenwich. Flowers at host desk wilted. Corner table requested, confirmed, then not available.

Rushed by Captain to order. Staff occupied by
Decorating with balloons for other event. No staff in sight much of time. Amateur bread pushed and stale. Had to ask for service by waving. Large group of black men playing with balloons in bar area. On exit, no hostess to return coats. Men's urinal overflowing on floor. Went for car, no attendant present. Told by hostess talking on phone, not valet until 5. Asked manager where car was. It's outside somewhere. Attendent took tip and didn't open either car door. Each busy kicking soccer ball.

All in all an amateur uncaring fiasco. Eat at X's regular. Bizarre experience for over $200.

Definitely not worth a 45 min drive.

Classy, high end, excellent service, good food, but not great food.

I've tried the quail (below average), the duck (pretty good), and dabbled in some appetizers (okay/good). Overall, I was not impressed with the food. I will have to go again and try more.

I hope the food is better next time so I can like it more as the atmosphere and service are truly excellent.
