Nice place to go for dinner drinks. Kind of casual, yet upscale at the same time. Drinks are a touch pricey, but not terrible. It's a really cool atmosphere and everyone on staff was incredibly friendly.

It's cool late night place. Prices are average but then I'm from Chicago where it can be more! Not many late night places in midtown. Funniest moments: drunk guys, various nationalities, came up to me and after 3 lines started petting my (cool) faux fur, leather jacket! "No no! No petting! We are not at the zoo!" Happened twice in an hour! I'd still go back! 9:1 male ratio, and still no hookers per earlier comments...

Decent Hotel bar located in the Upper East Side W hotel. The crowd tend to be a little older which may or may not be a plus depending on your preference. The drinks are typical Manhattan prices but the bartenders are busy but friendly. A good place to just wind down and chill.

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :)
Drinks: Good.
Space: Dark and sleek. Very cozy and open for mixing and mingling.
Scene: Pick-up scene. Crowded with a mix of tourists, out-of-town business people and local talent. People watching.
Crowd: 20-50s At night, it becomes a comedy scene of locals, out-of-town business guys and out-of-town male entertainment (read: gentlemen friend for the hour).
Service: Ok for a Hotel bar. It's not the Plaza.

Eh after all of the hype on this place, I think I was just expecting more. I like to think that the trade off for $13 cocktails is one super fabulous place. And not that it was totally bad - it was really amusing for people watching. And the service from our server was fantastic.
I think it is just that this place didn't blow me away. And I likely won't go back. And I guess that's why I just can't go above two stars. It did seem like it had an interesting mix of people and it was an icky rainy miserable day, so perhaps that didn't lend itself well to encouraging people to mix it up - since people seemed to mostly stay in their cluster of friends (with the exception of the two random Irish men who wandered over -- who Leslie told at one point "go away Lucky Charms" -- which, ironically, was the high point of this experience).
Worth going to once though, I do suppose, but nothing super special to set this place apart from the rest of the pack.
