My Girlfriend and I chanced upon a League Fuji road bike being cut from a bike rack by sanitation workers. It was perfect size for her, but missing a back wheel.

New chain, cables, rear wheel, tube and tire plus labor, $150.

Not bad to resurrect a vintage chromoly race frame that retailed for 3 or 4 times that amount way back when.

I also read a review from someone saying their childs bike had a tangled rusty bike chain. The bike shop was correct in insisting that you replace it. There is no telling what level of corrosion has occured. Simply oiling it is no enough. Rusted chains tend to snap at the worst possible moment, like in traffic.

asked for estimate to assemble a road bike it went from $50 - right up to $120 -150... called another bike shop they charge $35. big big different.

Great place to buy accessories for your bike or get a tuneup. Much better than more expensive places in the suburbs.

Disliked the fact that he way overcharged to put some spokes & nipples on a rim, disliked the fact that he acted as if he was doing me a favor, disliked the fact he sold me a horn that broke the same day, and didnt want to exchange it, let alone refund my hard earned money. Did like the fact he was quick, though not quick enough to charge me for 3 hours at $80, WTF?!?! Waste your money here if you must, especially since there dont seem to be any other bicycle shops in the area, I myself will travel the extra mile for better service (Peak Mountain Bikes, Douglaston N.Y, Jerry is the man! $40 for the same exact job on the other rim), there are better places. This store is owned by a dishonest, unreasonable person in my book, lesson learned.
