Yesterday morning I went to Weiner Music, that on the website shows as "Weiner, Inc." and in person the store name is "Poppas Music Music"???????
Anyhow, as soon as I went inside, there is this repairman on a desk across the register with the name of Mark Kasten. He was talking to another sax player before me, that also went to try mouthpieces to buy. Mark was very frustrated because he stated that the person in charge of showing the mouthpieces was sick and he wasn't there and asked us: "why you didn't call before coming in?" I said: "really???, aren't you guys a store that opens at 10am????" He said: "we are not a store". So I started getting frustrated after I drove 1:30 hour to get a mouthpiece from there. I told him: "your website clearly says store hours". He kept repeating that this is not a store.
To make the story short, he was very rude to me and the other sax player. He didn't know anything about mouthpieces or even the store, and he is a sax repair person???????
The other sax player tried the mouthpiece he was looking for, but was frustrated because the room to try the pieces was closed and they couldn't open it for us. The other employees were on the phone like they didn't even care. Mark didn't want him to play loud. I said: "How are we suppose to try a mouthpiece this way????"
Over all, the other sax player didn't get the piece and he left very mad. The store wanted to charge him for trying the mouthpieces, are you kidding me??????
I stayed and tried the one I wanted, but I didn't buy it. I loved the piece, but I am going to buy it from someone else, they don't deserve my money. I had to try a mouthpiece covered on tape!!!!!! Yes, covered on tape so I don't scratch it. And the mouthpiece looked used and all scratched to start with.
There is more to the story, but is enough said.....
Very unpleasant experience, will NOT recommend this website or store or whatever it is. People been jerks, inconsiderate and disrespectful in that place. I'm done with them!!!
