Best sushi in downtown area other than Nobu, I used to live in Seattle and that's is the best in US as well as LA but for NYC this place or Nobu. Great presentation, quality fish that's fresh and amazing soups. Plus they offer brown and red rice!

They used to be much better. Got the chicken ramen and it was absolutely tasteless. Like they just boiled the water and poured it over the chicken and noodles. Noodles dont taste like they are fresh made.
However, the person next to me said the sushi is better. If you want to try.
For the price they charge the dishes should be exceptional and also the service!
I agree with another reviewer feel like I wasted money and calories.

Crowd of office workers for obvious reasons:tasty food and good price. Be prepared to meet big portions.

A few coworkers and I came in on a Tuesday at around 12 and it wasn't too packed yet. The place isn't huge so I can see it getting pretty busy.
They have lunch specials, which come with your choice of miso soup or a side salad. The salad dressing was really gingery so if you don't like ginger, you might want to ask for it on the side, or maybe opt for the soup.
I went with the sushi sashimi lunch. It comes with 3pcs of sushi, 7pcs of sashimi, and a tuna roll or california roll. I have no complaints. Everything tasted fresh. It is a bit pricey for a lunch but it's sushi in Battery Park, so the prices are pretty standard for the city.
If you're not interested in sushi, they have other dishes, like fried rice, noodles, pad Thai - basically a mix of different Asian cuisines.
