Good bookstore and very good tiny elephant cafe!

This is a beautiful bookstore. Great knowledgeable staff, friendly people, fantastic selection. & anything they don't don't have they can get quick. World class authors come to do events. We've seen everyone from Laura Schenone to Julie Andrews. Watchung Booksellers rocks!

This is a sunny, friendly place where you can indulge your love of books of all kinds. The staff is helpful and efficient, the selection suited to Montclair tastes, and you often meet a friend there, or somebody who might become your friend. They have a yummy cafe now, which is a great addition.

We've been going to Watchung booksellers for years. It's exactly what you would want and expect from a local bookstore. Very helpful, welcoming and of great assistance. We've been going there since my kids were little (teenagers now) and I really think the attention and atmosphere at WBS helped to make them avid readers. The kids always looked forward to a trip to the bookstore. If you need a book that they don't have, they'll get it for you within 24 hours usually. They've partnered with kobo for e-books, which is where I now get books for my nook. I'd rather support my local store than Amazon or B&N.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The (obviously) don't have the selection of one of the major chains, but they'll happily order whatever you're looking for.
