Average Chinese fare. Nothing special; bit on the greasy side. Bok choy was stringy, dan dan noodles were disappointing. Friendly service.

Pretty good Chinese ordered via Seamless. The chicken with broccoli was excellent. Will try delivery again soon.

Great spare ribs and probably the best in the Upper East Side. Come on a early weekday to avoid the crowd as this is a popular place to eat.

I'd say it's a decent first date restaurant too.

In a sea of mediore Chinese on the UES, Wa Jeal is NOT mediocre. It's also not your typical Lo Mein/ Chow Mein house.

And by the way: I've seen low marks for decor; I disagree. For a Chinese place it's actually kind of nice looking, too.
