Developing a corneal ulcer is never convenient or pleasant but having it happen while on a business trip in a foreign city could have been a complete nightmare. Luckily for me, Dr. Lawrence Levy, was my knight in a white lab coat. After waiting it out all night for something to open, I walked in to Vision Associates with my red puffy eye, without an appointment, and was seen in 15 minutes. He was very kind and thorough, insisting that I follow up with him the next day before leaving town. It was so comforting to be so well taken care of in a place where I know no one. I might consider making a trip back to Great Neck the next time I need to see an opthamologist!
