Vinnie's Pizzeria

Lovely location, excellent staff, yummy Pizza... what else you need... 100% worth.....

Stumbled upon this pizzeria a few days ago and was utterly stunned at the "Fool's Gold" slice, which has been THE best slice of pizza I've had in a long, long time. Contents of said slice: sweet golden corn, cilantro, mayo, mozzarella, feta, cotija, with a spicy citrus seasoning. It tastes like Mexico or the Southwest in your mouth! It is seriously amazing, and the angel who thought up this creative pizza flavor should get a medal of freedom or a pizza Pulitzer.... just something(!!) to show appreciation for blessing us with such goodness and slaying all the other pizzerias at the same time. The guys at Vinnie's are really chill and friendly... the vibe is 90's kitsch all the live-long day, and I just love it so much.

Oh, and... you will very likely see Tom Hanks by the end of your meal. Wink!!

Unfortunately, this place isn't as good as it used to be. I hope they improve.

This place re-opened around October 2015. They have new ownership.

Any reviews prior to October 2015 I would ignore. The western side of Jersey City heights has not had a decent place for pizza. I use to go to Central Avenue to Pizza Master. Not anymore. Pizza here is very good, even when it is cold and they heat it up.

My favorite dish now is eggplant with ziti. Eggplant is just cooked and sliced right and the pasta is made aldente.

If your on the western side of the heights, this is the place to go for pizza and pasta dishes.
