Love this place. We eat here every time we stay at Hotel Beacon for our trips to NYC. The chocolate chip pancakes are fantastic and the waitstaff is very friendly!

Best cafe on the Upper westside of Manhattan!!! Food is amazing and staff is very helpful and friendly! My favorite is the omelet with the country potatoes... be sure to add avocado and hot sauce! Window seats offer a view of people passing by on Broadway... fun! Cozy home feeling that will make you call it your go to place for a quick meal or good conversation with old friends and family. A must try in the city! Enjoy! Thanks for all the great service to my friends at Viand Cafe on Broadway!

Quick to be seated and table water was served instantly. However everything went downhill after ordering, the Danish was uninspiring and not fresh, the tea was expensive for what was only a tea bag and a mug of boiling water. We also explicitly asked twice for no cream and got cream with the hot chocolate.

A "cafe" could prepare your tea for you. In the Viand Diner you get the extreme pleasure of making your own.
